Annapolis is a lovely little historic town on the Severn River filled with many historic homes, art galleries, museums, theaters, antique and craft shops. It is home of St. Johns College and  the U.S. Naval Academy. There are many well trained docents who can show you around the many historic homes and gardens. Take a guided tour of the U.S. Naval Academy. Annapolis is the capital of the State, once the capital of United States. In the spring, summer, and fall many type of water activities are offered, including boat trips from the city dock and swimming from Sandy Point on the Chesapeake Bay.  The B&A bike trail extends 13 miles in one direction.  Quiet Waters Park is a close drive and a lovely place to spend an afternoon. Washington and Baltimore are 45 minutes away.
